About By Any Means
Paramount Pictures’ By Any Means is a crime drama based on a true story. Set in 1960s Mississippi, the film follows a young Black FBI agent, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is sent to investigate a wave of brutal killings targeting civil rights leaders.
The investigation forces him to work alongside notorious mafia hitman Greg Scarpa, portrayed by Mark Wahlberg, leading both men into a dangerous pursuit where justice, vengeance, and the limits of the law begin to collide.
The film also features a strong supporting cast that includes Giancarlo Esposito, Nicole Beharie, David Strathairn, Josh Lucas, LaChanze, and others. By Any Means is directed by Elegance Bratton and arrives in theaters September 4, 2026.
