Easy Sheet Pan Seafood Boil with Garlic Butter
If you want seafood boil flavor without managing a huge stockpot, a sheet pan version is one of the easiest ways to get dinner on the table. The key is giving the potatoes a head start, then adding the faster-cooking ingredients later.
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby potatoes, halved if large
- 3 ears corn, cut into pieces
- 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled or shell-on
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced, optional
- Lemon wedges, optional
How to Make It
- Heat the oven to 425°F and line a large rimmed sheet pan for easier cleanup.
- Parboil the potatoes until partially tender, then drain well.
- Spread the potatoes, corn, and sausage across the pan. Mix half the melted butter with Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning and spoon it over the ingredients.
- Roast until the potatoes are almost fully tender.
- Add the shrimp and remaining seasoned butter. Return the pan to the oven just until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
- Toss everything on the pan so the seasoned butter coats the seafood and vegetables. Serve immediately.
Why Parboil the Potatoes?
Shrimp cook much faster than potatoes. Starting the potatoes separately lets everything finish closer to the same time and helps protect the shrimp from overcooking.
Make It Your Own
Add crab legs, lobster tails, mushrooms, or extra sausage if you like, but remember that different seafood has different cooking times. Add delicate seafood closer to the end.
