King Crab Legs Seafood Boil Recipe

King crab brings big pieces of sweet crab meat to a seafood boil, and it pairs especially well with seasoned butter, corn, potatoes, sausage, and shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds king crab legs, thawed if frozen
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 ears corn, cut into pieces
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, optional

Instructions

  1. Start the potatoes in a large pot of boiling water because they take the longest.
  2. Add the sausage and corn when the potatoes have begun to soften.
  3. Add the king crab legs near the end. Many retail king crab legs are already cooked, so check the package and heat them accordingly.
  4. Add the shrimp last and cook only until opaque and pink.
  5. Drain everything thoroughly.
  6. Melt the butter and stir in Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning. Spoon the seasoned butter generously over the crab and remaining ingredients.

Make the Crab the Star

King crab is rich, so you do not need a huge list of extras. Potatoes, corn, sausage, and shrimp give the platter variety without competing with the crab.

Season After Draining

Finishing with seasoned butter keeps the flavor on the food instead of leaving most of it behind in the cooking water. Start moderately, taste, then add more seasoning if needed.
