Seafood Boil for Four: Easy Family Dinner
A seafood boil for four is big enough to feel like a feast without requiring a giant party-size pot. This family-size combination gives everyone seafood plus sausage, corn, and potatoes.
Ingredients for Four
- 2 pounds large shrimp
- 2 pounds snow crab clusters
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 1/2 pounds baby potatoes
- 4 ears corn, cut into pieces
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning, to taste
- Lemon wedges, optional
These are generous portions. If your family eats less seafood or you are serving several side dishes, reduce the seafood accordingly.
Cooking Order
- Start the potatoes first.
- Add sausage and corn when the potatoes begin to soften.
- Add thawed, precooked crab legs late enough to heat through according to the package directions.
- Add raw shrimp last and cook only until opaque and pink.
- Drain well.
- Mix melted butter with Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning and toss it with the entire boil.
How to Make It Stretch
Add boiled eggs, extra corn, mushrooms, or another pound of potatoes if you need more food without adding more expensive seafood.
Serve Family Style
Transfer everything to a large tray or several platters. Put extra seasoned butter and lemon wedges on the table so everyone can finish their plate the way they like it.
