What Chef Bae Sherri Smith Learned at the YouTube Creator Collective Event in Atlanta
What I Learned at the YouTube Creator Collective Event in Atlanta
As a chef, entrepreneur, cookbook author, and content creator, I'm always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with people who understand the creator journey. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the YouTube Creator Collective FIFA World Cup 2026™ Watch Party in Atlanta, and I walked away with more than just great memories.
The event brought together creators from different backgrounds, industries, and audiences, all with a shared passion for creating content and building communities online. It was a reminder that no matter how different our niches may be, many of us face the same challenges and opportunities.
The Power of Community
One of the biggest takeaways from the event was the importance of community. Creating content can sometimes feel like a solo journey. Whether you're filming recipes, editing videos, writing blog posts, or managing social media, much of the work happens behind the scenes.
Being surrounded by other creators reminded me that growth often happens when you step outside your comfort zone and connect with others. Conversations at events like these can lead to collaborations, partnerships, new ideas, and long-lasting relationships.
Learning Never Stops
Even after years in the culinary industry and building a large audience online, I learned that there is always room to grow. The creator economy changes quickly, and successful creators stay curious.
Listening to different perspectives and hearing how other creators approach content creation gave me fresh ideas that I can apply to my own platforms and business.
Whether you're a food creator, entrepreneur, or small business owner, continuing to learn is one of the best investments you can make in yourself.
Content Creation Is Bigger Than Going Viral
Many people focus on views and viral moments, but one thing this event reinforced is that long-term success comes from building genuine connections with your audience.
The most impactful creators are the ones who consistently show up, provide value, and create content that resonates with people.
As Chef Bae, my goal has always been to inspire others through food, family, entrepreneurship, and authentic storytelling. Events like the YouTube Creator Collective remind me to stay focused on serving my audience rather than chasing trends.
Atlanta Continues to Lead the Way
Atlanta is quickly becoming one of the most exciting cities for creators, entrepreneurs, and digital innovators. The city offers incredible opportunities for networking, collaboration, and business growth.
From food creators and lifestyle influencers to filmmakers and educators, Atlanta is filled with talented individuals building amazing brands.
As an Atlanta-based chef and content creator, I am proud to be part of such a thriving creative community.
Looking Ahead
Attending the YouTube Creator Collective event left me feeling inspired and motivated about the future of content creation.
As I continue growing the Chef Bae brand through recipes, cookbooks, catering, educational content, and new business ventures, I look forward to applying the lessons I learned and continuing to connect with creators who are making an impact.
A huge thank you to YouTube and the Creator Collective team for creating opportunities that bring creators together.
The future is bright, and I'm excited to see what's next.
