Easy Crab Legs Seafood Boil Recipe
Snow crab legs make a seafood boil feel special without requiring complicated prep. Because most grocery-store frozen crab legs are already cooked, the goal is to heat them through at the end while the potatoes, corn, and sausage finish cooking.
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds pre-cooked snow crab leg clusters, thawed if possible
- 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into pieces
- 1½ pounds small red potatoes
- 4 ears corn, cut into pieces
- Butter, melted
- Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning, to taste
- Lemon wedges, optional
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add the potatoes first and cook until they are close to fork-tender.
- Add the sausage and corn. Continue cooking until the potatoes are tender but still hold their shape.
- Add the pre-cooked crab legs near the end. Heat them in the simmering liquid for about 4 to 6 minutes, or until hot throughout. Extra-large clusters can need a little longer.
- Drain the pot well.
- Stir Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning into melted butter.
- Pour or brush the seasoned butter generously over the crab legs, sausage, corn, and potatoes.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges if desired.
Do Not Overcook Pre-Cooked Crab
Crab legs that stay in hot liquid too long can lose moisture. Once they are hot throughout, drain the pot and move on to the seasoned butter.
