Garlic Butter Crab Legs with Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning

Crab legs do not need a complicated recipe to taste special. A rich seasoned butter can turn steamed, boiled, or oven-warmed crab legs into a full seafood dinner with very little extra work.

Choose Your Crab Legs

Snow crab is convenient for family-style meals, while king crab has larger, meatier sections. Most crab legs sold for home cooking are already cooked, so the goal is usually to heat them through without leaving them in heat longer than necessary.

Make the Seasoned Butter

Melt butter over low heat and stir in Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning. Add minced garlic if you want a stronger garlic flavor. Lemon juice can be added at the end for a fresh finish.

Coat the Crab

Once the crab legs are hot, brush or spoon the seasoned butter over the shells and exposed meat. Serve extra butter on the side for dipping. A light toss in a large pan also works well when you are serving several clusters.

Build the Plate

Pair garlic butter crab legs with corn, potatoes, rice, green vegetables, mac and cheese, or bread. For a full mixed boil, see our easy crab legs seafood boil recipe.

Keep the Butter Warm, Not Scorching

Use low heat for the finishing butter so the seasoning and garlic do not burn. If you are serving several people, keep the butter in a small covered saucepan and spoon it over the crab right before serving.
