Snow Crab Legs Seafood Boil Recipe

Snow crab legs are one of the easiest ways to make a seafood boil feel special. Most frozen snow crab legs sold at grocery stores are already cooked, so the goal is usually to heat them through while the potatoes, corn, sausage, and shrimp finish cooking.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds snow crab leg clusters, thawed
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 ears corn, cut into pieces
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, optional

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the potatoes. Cook until they begin to soften.
  2. Add the sausage and corn. Continue cooking until the potatoes are almost tender.
  3. Add thawed snow crab clusters and heat according to the package directions, since cluster size and whether the crab is precooked affect timing.
  4. Add the shrimp near the end and cook just until opaque and pink.
  5. Drain the pot well.
  6. Melt the butter over low heat and stir in Chef Bae® Seafood Boil Seasoning. Pour over the crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes and toss gently.

Do Not Overcook the Crab

If your snow crab is already cooked, you are reheating it rather than cooking it from raw. Long boiling can dry out the meat. Check the package and add the crab late enough that it heats through without sitting in boiling water longer than necessary.
